What we collect
When you create an account we store your email address, username, a securely hashed password, and the name, phone number, and mailing address you give us so we can ship your orders and reach you about them. When you buy, bid, or make an offer we store the details of that transaction, including the shipping name and address for it, and we remember the blanks you save to your watchlist. That's it — we don't collect anything we don't need to sell you wood.
Security logs
Like most websites, our server records each request — the page, time, IP address, and browser — so we can spot and stop abuse. We also log account events such as sign-ins, signups, and password resets. Server request logs are kept for 90 days and account event logs for a year, and they're never shared or used for advertising.
Keeping out bots
Our signup form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to tell real people from automated signups. It runs only on that form; Cloudflare's handling of the check is covered by their privacy policy.
Cookies
We use essential cookies only: one to keep you signed in and one to protect forms against forgery. There are no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, which is why we don't need to show you a cookie banner.
Analytics
We use self-hosted, cookieless analytics to count page views and see which pages are useful. It does not identify you, follow you to other sites, or share anything with third parties.
To tailor some regional display, we look up your rough location (country only) from your IP address using a database stored on our own server — your IP is never sent anywhere. IP geolocation by DB-IP.
We email you about your own orders, offers, and bids. Our mailing list — new-listing announcements and occasional news — is only for people who chose to join it (on the sign-up form, the mailing list page, or by asking us). Every list email has a one-click unsubscribe link, and members can also switch it off in their account. We never sell or share your address. Our emails are sent through Brevo.
Payment
Payments are handled by PayPal — on our checkout page, or by PayPal invoice if you ask for one. Card and bank details go straight to PayPal; we never see or store them.
