Claro Walnut Gunstock Blanks
Claro walnut (Juglans hindsii) is the California native long favored by American stockmakers for its warm color and bold, flowing figure. It tends toward reddish-brown and honey tones with dramatic contrast — often more colorful than its Old-World cousins — which makes it a striking choice for a stock meant to turn heads.
Our Claro is air-dried and graded on the same #1–5 ladder as everything else (how our grading works), and every blank is photographed individually — the wood you see is the wood you receive.
